Basketball holds a special place as a national pastime in the Philippines. The passion and determination of the players rival any other country where sports are a way of life. Unknown to much of the world, the Filipino National Team achieved a historic milestone by qualifying for the FIBA Basketball World Cup for the first time during the year this program was developed.
